More Than a Place, More Than a Memory.
Some places stay with us long after we have left them, and some beautiful memories are ones we wish we could be reminded of every day.
A photograph can bring back a place, but sometimes we remember it differently. Perhaps we wish it had been another season, a sunny day, warmer colours, different surroundings, or simply the way it felt when we were there.
More Than a Photograph
I use photographs, memories and conversations as a starting point, but I don't simply copy what is in the photograph.
I want to explore what you remember, what you loved about the place, and perhaps even what you wish had been different. From there, I bring my own ideas about colour, light, atmosphere, texture and brushwork into the artwork.
The result is not simply a picture of a place. It is a personal interpretation of a memory, created through my own way of painting.
More Than a Painting
I hope each commissioned artwork becomes something you can keep close and enjoy for years to come.
Something that brings back a place you love, a time in your life, or the people who shared that memory with you.
It might remind you of a special holiday, a childhood home, a favourite garden, or simply a moment you never wanted to forget.
The painting becomes part of your home, but more importantly, it becomes part of your story, a way of keeping a beautiful memory close and seeing it in a new way.
How It Works
Share your place or memory
Tell me about the place or memory you would like to explore, and send through any photographs you have.
Tell me what you remember
You might wish it had been a different season, a different kind of light, or had colours and details that you remember differently.
Let me interpret it
Your photographs and ideas become the starting point. I then develop the work in my own way, allowing the composition, colour and atmosphere to evolve.
Create something personal
The finished artwork becomes a unique interpretation of a place, memory or moment that means something to you.
